John Burrows

Until February 1998, John was the Area Managing Partner – Asia/Pacific of Arthur Andersen, having held that position for five years. Since retiring in 1999, John has established himself as an insightful Company Director and Consultant.

John has broad experience as a financial consultant, accountant and auditor. He has worked on manufacturing, retailing, oil production and service, banking and insurance broking assignments in Spain, Portugal, Singapore, Malaysia, The Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

John is an Honorary Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia. He was also a Governor of The Sydney Institute and a member of the Board of The Bell Shakespeare Company.

Presently, John is the Chairman of The Denison Group Pty Ltd a leading commercial property investor and fund manager and Chairman of the Compliance Committee of Australian Bight Abalone Ltd, a company driving new developments in aquaculture.

John has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
