David has a broad national commercial practice with emphasis on complex construction and engineering disputes in the Supreme Court and arbitrations (international and domestic). 

He has been the Chairman of the Construction Law Section of the Commercial Bar (Victoria) since 2014.

David completely familiarises himself with the critical documents and facts to distil the core case thesis. He then works closely and harmoniously with his solicitors and the client to assist the team in the preparation for trial. He provides prompt responses to instructor’s requests for assistance / guidance.

David accepts direct briefs from in-house counsel where it is appropriate to do so.

He has presented a number of lectures in international arbitration at the University of Melbourne (Masters). He has also contributed to the Building & Construction Law Journal.
