Background

Sarah brings significant experience to her work, with expertise in corporate and commercial law, corporate governance and with a particular interest in the areas of banking and finance and energy and resources. Her commerciality is enhanced by her time as an Associate Director (Legal) at Macquarie Bank, across the Commodities / Global Markets and Corporate Asset Finance divisions. 

She accepts briefs in all areas of commercial and regulatory law. 

Sarah has appeared both led and unled in the Supreme Court of New South Wales as well as the Federal Court of Australia. She has also appeared unled in the lower courts of New South Wales. She is on the External Junior Counsel Panel for the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions. 

Prior to coming to the Bar and her time at Macquarie Bank, Sarah worked at Allens (now Allens Linklaters) in the Banking & Finance / Energy, Resources & Infrastructure groups as a Senior Associate. Sarah was primarily based onshore during her time at Allens, but also worked in the Singapore and Vietnam based offices. 

Having won the prize for International Law during her law degree at Monash University (Victoria), Sarah also interned at the International Commission of Jurists in Geneva, Switzerland, before being admitted as a solicitor.
